How Signing Up For a Bootcamp With SV Academy Works

SV Academy Application Form

SV Academy’s application is a five-step process. On the first screen, applicants must enter basic identifying information — including their first and last name, email address, and why they are interested in SV Academy.

On the second screen, applicants can detail their career goals, including whether they are more interested in the tech sales or customer success track. Additional information includes whether the applicant is actively looking for employment, their employment status, and their salary expectations.

Applicants will continue to detail their career goals on the third screen. Here, prospective students should indicate whether they would like to enroll in the part- or full-time program and their intended start date.

SV Academy Level of Education

The fourth screen is lengthy and requires students to input their education and work history. At the end of the form, applicants can submit their LinkedIn URL and a current resume.

Personal Background and Interest

On the fifth and final screen, students must include a 250-word writing sample that covers their background and interest in a tech sales or customer success career. Because this writing sample is evaluated for admissions decisions, applicants must check it for spelling, grammar, and clarity.

After applying, SV Academy will contact select students for an interview with the admissions director. This interview often lasts just 20 minutes. Once an admissions decision has been made, students must sign an enrollment commitment to secure their spot.

SV Academy Tuition Overview

Each SV Academy course costs $9,900. This amount covers either the full-time four-week track or the part-time eight-week track. Either selection includes six months of job search support plus one year of on-the-job career coaching to ensure better performance and quicker promotions.

SV Academy allows tuition to be paid upfront and in full or through enrollment in a deferred tuition repayment plan. This deferred tuition plan requires students to make a $90 tuition deposit by the end of their first week of training. Then, after completing the program and securing a job that meets salary expectations, graduates must pay $550 per month for 18 months to repay their tuition.

Students who do not find a job within six months after graduation are eligible for a full tuition refund. Those enrolled in a Deferred Tuition plan do not have to repay their tuition. Similarly, if a student becomes unemployed during the 18-month repayment period, SV Academy will pause their payments until they find another job that meets salary expectations.

A Typical Week at SV Academy

The structure of a typical week at SV Academy depends on whether a student is enrolled part time or full time. Part-time students can expect to spend 15-20 hours per week for eight weeks on live instruction, whereas full-time students can expect to complete the course in half the time — about 40 hours per week for four weeks. During this time, students learn the necessary skills to be successful in Tech Sales or Customer Success.

After completing the live instruction portion of the course, students will begin their job search under the guidance of SV Academy mentors and career coaches. Enrollment in either course includes six months of job search support, although students often find a job much sooner.

After securing employment, SV Academy provides each student with one year of on-the-job career support. This additional level of mentorship helps graduates excel in the workplace, promotes better job performance, and ensures that graduates earn promotions faster.

Low upfront cost

Although SV Academy allows students to pay upfront and in full, many students opt for the deferred tuition repayment plan. This payment plan will enable students to enroll with a tuition deposit of just $90 that is due after the first week of training. Students only need to make additional payments once they have completed the program and found a job that meets salary expectations.

Job search support

After graduation, students receive six months of job search support. During this time, graduates meet with mentors and career coaches to cultivate their brand and sharpen their interview skills. In addition, each student is assigned a Career Transition Specialist to assist with job-matching. All employment opportunities are specifically selected to match the student’s skill level and expertise.
